Taylor Sheridan just scored his biggest television success yet.
The Madison, Sheridan’s standalone Western drama set in southwest Montana, has officially become the most-watched first-season launch of any series in the Sheridan-verse. The show pulled in a massive 8 million global views in its first 10 days on Paramount+, surpassing even the record-breaking debuts of Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923.
One month after its March 14, 2026 premiere (with three episodes dropping at once and the rest the following week), The Madison is still breaking records — remaining in Paramount+’s global Top 10 for a full 30 days straight.

Despite receiving mixed-to-lukewarm reviews from critics, audiences have clearly connected with the series. Created and written by Sheridan, the show follows a complex family navigating secrets, power, and the harsh realities of modern ranch life in the American West. It was directed by Christina Alexandra Voros (a Yellowstone alum) and stars an impressive ensemble cast.
The momentum has been so strong that Paramount+ already renewed The Madison for Season 2 shortly after launch — and as of this week, Season 3 has also been greenlit. This makes it one of Sheridan’s fastest-tracked projects to date.
Sheridan’s empire continues to expand rapidly. With Yellowstone wrapping up, The Madison is proving that his signature blend of rugged storytelling, family conflict, and sweeping cinematography still has massive appeal — even without direct ties to the original Dutton saga (it was later confirmed as a standalone series).
This record-breaking performance is a huge win for Paramount+ as it battles for streaming supremacy in 2026. It also solidifies Sheridan as one of the most dominant creators in television right now.
